Irrevocable Illusion

Sometimes people seem much closer than they are.
It's a self-illusion.
Time to snap out of it.
Too late.
I'm too entranced.
Too far along this path of misconception.

Execution Of An Exhibitionist

But it's not pride at stake here.
It's comfort. He simply longs to belong.
For all it's worth, simply to just get along.

But his intentions are mistaken, misunderstood.
People misjudge him for his actions, says he's rude.
How can you be so blind? His thoughts are not so crude.

Thus the execution commences, of an exhibitionist.
Does thou have such a right? Nay, you're a chauvinist.
One can never look back and regret until it is finished.

Friends

And so we help each other, in mutual understanding.
'Til the day we die, 'til the day we are in good standing.

Be my umbrella, and I will be the raindrops.
Keep me dry, and I promise to be your sunshine, drying you in return.
But this is what friends do for each other, in kind and in turn.

Misery

Heartache to the point of bursting.
What did I do to deserve this?
I gave you nothing but my love.
Yet you have forsaken me, moved on.
Still I can't move on, because of my promise.
To you.

Blessed To Be A Blessing

No matter how much you think about that phrase,
it doesn't quite strike a chord with you until you experience it.

Today was the first CCM Freshmen Accountability meeting.
I would like to say that it went well.
It was a small and humble start, and yet I know that God was here.

While I was taking out the trash to clean up my apartment in preparation for the meeting,
a revelation occurred. [Not quite, but I'll let it pass]

I thought, "What disgusting pieces of.." and then it hit me.
We are so disgusted by trash, yet we seldom remember that we, too, are trash.
How can I be disgusted by others when I, myself, am filthy in sin?
God looked upon the pieces of trash and said, these are my creation and I love them.
So too shall be how we should view others.

In light of this, let each other's vulnerability open up opportunity for encouragement,
so that we may grow as a community and learn to love one another as He have loved us.

God for life!

In Postmodernism

Endlessly recurring thoughts conveyed through written words...

Thoughts of attempting quiet suicide,
loops endlessly like the recurring tide.

He wonders who will notice, who will shed tears.
If such a person exists, speak up because he hears.

Re[ad]-Initiation

Change the status from this hiatus, I've come to reimburse.
This verse, it's nothing to fuss about, I shall make it terse.

I've had time to organize my mind, to find again my prime.
Rewind the rhymes that leave behind scents of thymes.

Discover that which I have recovered.

The Tempest

This pestilence laden upon his mind brings turbulence to his heart.
Grief and trouble brings about silence and binds his intelligence.
He remorses the divergence that's come about since his emergence.
Hence he will halt his mind's wandering until its convergence.

All My True Homies, Will You Please Stand Up

Often he forgets what little support he does have.
Sometimes a reminder will go a very long way.
